The Japanese word for "thank you" is "arigato". Its original meaning is "extremely rare to exist and thus highly valuable." The word originated in the Buddhist tale about how special it is to be born into this world as a human. Receiving kindness, good fortune, joy, beauty, and love is also highly valuable and not to be taken for granted.
Here is my arigato for just being alive as a human and receiving gifts of life every day.
